Safety

Leave the Meet.
Keep your control.

Near makes sharing deliberate, but technology cannot make every person trustworthy. These controls are always free.

During a Meet

End it at any time

Ending, disconnecting, timing out, or leaving the foreground clears the temporary peer feed.

If something feels wrong

Block the verified device

Blocking ends the Meet, clears temporary content, and rejects that device identity before future consent.

When you want help

Preview, then report

You see the exact non-content fields before anything is sent. Moment text, photos, tags, places, and Echo text are excluded.

Response standard

Reports need a human process.

We acknowledge safety reports as soon as practical, prioritize credible threats, preserve only information needed for the review, and take action consistent with the Terms. Near support is not an emergency service.

If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. For non-urgent help, email support@usenear.online.
