A useful first answer.
Can Near recover my journal?
No. Near does not host your journal. Make an encrypted export in Settings and keep its password somewhere safe before replacing or erasing your iPhone.
Why can’t two phones connect?
Keep both phones unlocked with Near open, turn on Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, allow Local Network access, move closer, and create a fresh invitation if the old one expired.
What stays after a Meet?
Your own journal stays intact. Near keeps content-free relationship details and any authenticated Echo attached to your own Moment; the other person’s temporary Moments are cleared.
How do I restore Near Plus?
Open Near Plus from Settings and choose Restore purchases while signed in with the Apple Account that bought it.
Can Near stop screenshots?
No app can reliably stop another camera, and system screenshots may still be possible. Near warns both people before sharing so consent is informed.
